The Binghamton Downtown Singers have a truly special concert planned for the spring. Do you know someone who passed away from Covid-19? Or do you know a doctor, nurse or other medical professional who worked under hazardous conditions for long hours in order to treat those who were sick? If so, we invite you to come sing with us to honor those people in your life.

On Saturday, June 10, 2023, we will perform two pieces: the Brahms Requiem, to honor those who passed away from Covid-19, and the Requiem for the Living by Elmira’s Dan Forrest to honor those in the medical profession and all caregivers who worked so tirelessly during the pandemic.

Visit downtownsingers.org for more information about this community chorus, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, and to find links to a movement from each piece.

Rehearsals begin in January 2023. No audition is required.
