Summer Savoyards hold auditions for winter show

 

Auditions for the Summer Savoyards’ March production of Oscar Wilde’s “The Importance of Being Earnest: A Trivial Comedy for Serious People” will be 7 to 9 p.m. Friday, Feb. 1, and 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 2, at Trinity Memorial Episcopal Church, 44 Main St., Binghamton. Needed are five males (two of any age, one age 30-45, one age 20-35 and one in his 50s or 60s) and four women (one age 25-40, one age 16-25 and two in their 50s or 60s). You do not need to prepare a monologue.

Performances will be March 23, 24, 29-31 in the Bundy Annex, located behind the Bundy Museum of History & Art, 129 Main St., Binghamton. The production will be a fundraiser for the Savoyards, who this summer will present Gilbert and Sullivan’s “The Yeoman of the Guard.”
