BAM reviewer George Basler went to Luv at KNOW Theatre; his colleague, Nancy Oliveri, saw the world premiere production of Sherlock Holmes — Knight’s Gambit at the Cider Mill Playhouse (see reviews below). What did you do in the arts?
Were you at the Two Rivers Fine Arts & Crafts Festival at the Roberson Center, or were you grooving to classic rock legend Mitch Ryder at Tioga Downs? Did you help the Cranberry Coffeehouse start its season or catch the final performances of Nunsense at EPAC?
I was part of the appreciate audience at Binghamton University’s Anderson Center Sunday (Sept. 22) for Four Hands Four Voices, a chamber concert featuring soprano Mary Burgess, mezzo Kasey Stewart, tenor Thom Baker, baritone Thomas Goodheart and pianists Margaret Reitz and Michael Salmirs. All of the musicians were in fine form presenting Schumann’s Spanische Liebeslieder, Op.138; Moszkowski’s Spanische Tanze, Op. 12, and Brahms’ Liebeslieder Waltzes, Op. 52.
