Nancy Barno Reynolds headshot

Dr. Nancy Barno Reynolds

Executive Director
Nancy Barno Reynolds has been an active participant in the arts for more than 30 years, as a student, working artist, judge, curator, teacher, collector, and patron.

She founded and was the Executive Director of The Art School™, a community-based organization that used art to educate. In the role she arranged, marketed, and curated over 100 local exhibitions. As an educator, Nancy has taught across the ages including in K-12 public schools and through The Art School™, as well as in University-level education courses at Binghatmon University, SUNY Oneonta, and SUNY Cortland, as well as Cazenovia College.

Barno Reynolds attended Binghamton University where she earned an Ed.D. in Educational Theory and Practice, M.S.Eds in English Education (7-12) and Elementary Education (N-6), and a B.S. in Literature and Folklore, with a minor in Anthropology.

Barno Reynolds is a lifelong resident of Broome County, where she resides with her husband and four children. She serves on the Advisory Board of the Susquehanna Heritage Area Commission, the Greater Binghamton Tourism Committee, and the Binghamton Business & Arts Alliance, and advises on a number of educational committees as well.

Anna Warfield

Assistant to the Executive Director
Anna Warfield is a graduate of Cornell University where she obtained a B.F.A. and a B.S. in Communication.

Having grown up in Whitney Point, Warfield is a local who became involved in B.C.A.C. early in life through it’s Emerging Artists exhibitions. In 2014 she became a BCAC member, and in 2018 she joined the team as the Assistant to the Executive Director.

Warfield is a practicing artist with a history of promoting and forming opportunities for artistic peers. At Cornell, Warfield assisted in grant writing, while curating group shows, and exhibiting her own body of work. In her final years, she headed up the Art Majors Organization where she coordinated artist lectures, exhibition opportunities, and networking events on behalf of her cohort.

Warfield has worked for a blend of art spaces, including Light Work in Syracuse, and Pace Editions in Manhattan. Her passion for a breadth of artistic forms and desire to support each has led her to the nonprofit arts sector.

Jenny Chang headshot

Jenny Chang

Gallery & Events Manager
Jenny Chang has been actively participating in the arts and cultural industry many years in various cities—Taipei, San Francisco, Detroit, and Los Angeles—in both nonprofit and business environments. Born in Buffalo, she is happy to move back to upstate New York and become part of the Broome County Arts Council family.

Her past projects included Asian Art Biennial, art and cultural exchange program meeting in France, ICOFOM at National Palace Museum (Taipei), artist participation in art fairs (e.g. SOFA Chicago), International Glass Invitational Award Exhibition (Detroit), charity fundraising gala with Pacific Symphony, artist trunk shows at Wynn Las Vegas, etc.

In her prior role, Chang was in charge of the Marketing activities and Gallery Partnerships for a global art brand, LIULI, where she coordinated trunk shows, artist exhibitions, art fair opportunities, charity collaborations and worked with local galleries, retailers, and museum stores.

She holds an MA in Literary and Cultural studies and enjoys writing about arts and culture. Her vision is to bridge the gap between business and art and connect people from diverse backgrounds through art.

Constance Barnes

Gallery & Retail
Connie Barnes has been living and working in the Southern Tier for more than 40 years. Currently a founding board member of VINES (Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments) and a long-time board member of the Broome County Public Library, she also served as a founding board member of Binghamton Imaginink, an arts and science-based organization featuring the DaVinci Festival. As Executive Director of the Edward L Rose Conservancy, PA, she helped create the long-running semi-annual art exhibition Images of Susquehanna County.

As co-owner and event coordinator for RiverRead Books, she hosted monthly art shows and opened the doors for many author readings, poetry gatherings and music events. She looks forward to working with BCAC in the creation of another great ‘Third Place’ in Broome County.
