As part of the upcoming events celebrating Tabernacle’s 150th anniversary, the Social Justice Committee will present “Peace and Compassion – A Collaborative Arts Event.” This is a unique event combining visual arts with Eastern and Western music, with an emphasis on spiritual traditions including Islam, Judaism and Christianity. Leading contemporary Egyptian Artist Reda Abdelrahman will create a painting while Theresa Lee-Whiting will provide music along with singer Sarina Barrera, and pianist Mary Lou Muratori. This live event will take place on Saturday, March 11, at 4:00 p.m. at Tabernacle UMC, 83 Main St., Binghamton, NY, followed by an on-line auction for the completed painting.
