High School Emerging Artist Competition

The Annual High School Emerging Artist Competition is open to all high schools and high school-level home schoolers in Broome County. All work is received in March, judged by professional artists, and displayed at the Broome County Arts Council for the month of April, with an Awards Ceremony First Friday in April. Participants receive certificates from the Broome County Arts Council, and the winners receive recognition by County Government.

In 2018, the Broome County Arts Council held the Broome High School Emerging Artist Competition Award Recognition & Ceremony on Friday, April 6th to celebrate the artistic talents of the 53 students from 6 Broome County High Schools with 65 works of art on display.

Award Recipients 2018

The judges for the 2018 competition were: Legislator Daniel D. Reynolds, Sharon Ball, Marcia Blackburn, Jules Gotay, Yvonne Lucia and Orazio Salati.
