Acclaimed world music recording artist UnityGroup celebrates it’s 25th year with a free 7 pm concert at First Congregational Church, 30 Main Street, Binghamton. The band is known for creating artful compositions with West African, Mid Eastern, Caribbean themes and instruments. Special guest, NYC based fula flute master Sylvain Leroux, will join the band, presenting some of his own West African based compositions. Voluntary donations will be accepted to benefit CHOW.
This event is made possible with public funds from the Statewide Community Regrants Program, a regrant program of the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature, and administered by The Earlville Opera House. Additional support for the Broome SCR Program graciously provided by the Stewart W. and Willma C. Hoyt Foundation, Inc.
