Consider the Body

A collection of black and white portraiture juxtaposed by a mixed media installation, this is the second iteration of Claire Trasorras’ ‘body’ photo project. She initially approached this subject in 2021 during her very first photography course, where she called it The Body is Good.

In this current reiteration of the project, Trasorras explores the idea of the emotional body in addition to the physical, and both bodies in the context of reality. This is her response to what she perceives as very limiting, damaging, and rash normative views of bodies—and by extension people—that are so casually instilled in our society.
