Building Connections in the Creative Industry

Workshop Description: Participants in this workshop will discuss and understand:
1. The role of the artist in society, responding to and making meaning out of the world around them, contributing to their culture, and helping shape their community.

2. Collaboration and “discovery potential,” or finding that your perspective can be enhanced when it is in conversation with the perspectives of other artists and community members, and allowing yourself to explore with others and make new discoveries.

3.  Improving access to the arts for yourself and others – discussing resources and opportunities that already exist in our area to find community with artists, and ways to build and enhance your own creative community.
