At the Broome County Arts Council (BCAC), six student artists from area high schools have won awards in “An Artistic Discovery Broome County Congressional High School Art Competition. They now advance to the final round of competition sponsored by U.S. Representative Richard Hanna for high schools in the 22nd Congressional District. Hanna will present final awards April 18th at Binghamton’s Roberson Museum and Science Center.

Altogether, nine area high schools — including Deposit, Seton Catholic, Union-Endicott, and Whitney Point — participated in the county competition. An exhibition of all the student entries to “An Artistic Discovery Broome County” will continue through April 3rd at the Broome County Arts Council, 81 State Street, Suite 501, Stephens Square Building, Binghamton, The gallery in open from 11:00am – 5:00pm Monday through Friday, or by appointment.
