Falsettos is a musical with  book by William Finn and Jame Lapine, and music and lyrics by Finn.  The story involves Marvin, his ex-wife Trina, his psychiatrist Mendel, his son Jason, his lover Whizzer Brown and his neighbors Cordelia and Dr. Charlotte.  Nominated for 7 Tony Awards of which it won Best Book of a musical and Best Original Score.  Falsettos follows Marvin, who struggles to create a tight knit family out of his eclectic array of core relationships (including his ex-wife, his new boyfriend, his adolescent son, and his neighbors).  Amidst a series of monumental life changes, he is forced to reckon with his own views on love, responsibility and what is means to be a man.
