United Cultural Fund Grants

Applications for the 2025 United Cultural Fund grant cycle are open! Accepted applicants will be notified in Late February/Early March, 2025.

All grant applications will be rated on the following criteria:

QUALITY: Of the application and financial planning, demonstrating sound financial management and appropriate oversight.
DIVERSITY: Promotes variety and/or growth in the arts and cultural activities in Broome County. Enhances the accessibility of the arts and cultural activities to a broad and diverse audience. Expands the public impact of the arts in Broome County. Serves and/or benefits Broome County and its residents.
SUSTAINABILITY: Pursues and develops broad-based financial support aside from the UCF.
COLLABORATION: Cooperates and collaborates with other arts organizations and/or individual artists to offer new arts opportunities in the community, and/or to minimize duplication.
RESPONSIBILITY: Good standing with all reporting requirements for any previously-funded UCF grants.

2025 UCF Project Grants Information

Project Grant Eligibility & Procedures
Applications are invited from eligible non-profit organizations or individual artists in need of financial assistance to provide high-quality arts programming or an arts project. UCF Project Grants are intended to promote cultural development and expand the public impact of the arts in Broome County. The maximum grant request is $1,000.

All potential applicants are required to consult with the Executive Director in order to submit an application and ensure that the project is appropriate for consideration. Office hours are on November 22 and December 13. Please schedule a meeting by calling the BCAC office or emailing executiveassistant@broomearts.orgIf neither of these dates works for you, please contact the office to arrange an alternative meeting time. Applicants for and recipients of UCF General Operating Support grants are not eligible for UCF Project Grants. Applications are due by 5 PM on Monday, January 6, 2025.

2025 UCF GOS Grants Information

General Operating Support (GOS) Grant Eligibility & Procedures

Applications for General Operating Support UCF grants are by invitation onlyAll current recipients of UCF general operating support must consult with BCAC’s Executive Director before preparing an application for another round of funding. Call 607-723-4620 or email executiveassistant@bromearts.org to schedule a consultation before December 13, 2024. Applications are due by 5 PM on Monday, January 13, 2025.

2024 UCF Report Forms

2024 Project Grant Recipients are required to submit a final report 30 days after the completion of their project. Final Reports may be completed via the link below.

2024 General Operating Support Grant Recipients are required to submit an interim report by August 14th at 5PM. Interim reports must be in prior to the release of September grant checks. Interim reports may be completed at the link below.

The United Cultural Fund (UCF) is the annual fundraising effort of the Broome County Arts Council (BCAC) which raises and distributes funding for unique, exciting, and necessary artistic endeavors, county-wide.
