At 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 11, the Binghamton Philharmonic Orchestra will present a performance by the Castalia String Quartet at the Phelps Mansion Museum in downtown Binghamton. The concert is part of the orchestra’s 2023-2024 Garufi Law P.C. Phelps Mansion Museum Series.

The quartet, featuring violinists Uli Speth and Debrah Devine, violist Amy Tompkins and cellist Ruth Berry, performs a mix of works by American composers and composers inspired by American music from the margins, including George Walker, Amy Beach, Charles Tomlinson Griffes, Rhiannon Giddens and Antonin Dvořák.

Founded in 2019, the quartet performs through the upper Catskills, Finger Lakes, Mohawk Valley, Central and Southern Tier regions of New York State.
