Deadline: February 13th
If you have ever attended workshops with The Binghamton Poetry Project, and you would like to share your poetry as part of an exhibition at the Vestal Museum, now is your chance! BPP is collaborating with the museum to exhibit poems by our community of poets as part of the museum’s upcoming show: Empty the Inkpots. Poems by BPP poets will be displayed with the museum’s exhibition of historic typewriters. Empty the Inkpots is set to open later in February.
How to Be Considered:
In one separate document (single Word or Google doc file only), please submit the following to binghamtonpoetryproject@gmail.com by noon on Saturday, February 13:
  1. 1-3 poems
  2. A few sentences describing your inspiration and process for writing and/or revising each poem.
  3. A short bio (1-3 sentences) that includes your name, county or town of residence, and when you last attended a BPP workshop. Feel free to include other information that would give people a sense of your personality.
How will poems be selected?
The Vestal Museum has room for 10-15 poems in the show. BPP’s director and assistant director will review poems submitted and select the featured poems. Our goal is to give museum visitors the broadest possible sense of the poems being produced by BPP poets. We are looking to represent as many poets as possible and poems with a range of styles and subject matter.
