As the Chenango empties into the Susquehanna, their confluence has been an important meeting place of peoples and cultures. In conjunction with Topographies, the museum will host a half-day convening that addresses this setting’s history, its present and its potential futures from the perspective of Indigenous and African-American histories, archeology, and organizations working in the contemporary moment. Beginning at the University Downtown Center at 1:00pm on October 30th, the event will also include the opportunity to see Topographies at Binghamton University Art Museum.
