Free and open to the public, An Artist’s Life is a new Monday Series hosted and sponsored by the Cooperative Gallery 213 on State Street. First Friday has opened the world of our region’s art scene to an appreciative audience. Now that audience has the opportunity to go behind the scenes and listen and converse with some of our area’s top artists. This coming Monday, March 25, Roz Salati will share his approach, his process, insights and the daily do’s and dont’s of being a working artist. The Cooperative Gallery 213 will open at 6 PM. The conversation with Roz will start at 6:30 PM
“We are very happy to have Orazio Salati, teacher, artist and gallery owner, initiate An Artist’s Life, our new series of conversations with artists,” said Joanne Thorne Arnold, artist and gallery member “Orazio has explored many mediums, but he always returns to painting.” According to Salati, “Oil paint, Dorland wax medium and a blow torch are my recipe for the freedom to create; and the beauty of nature, particularly the dunes of Cape Cod are a source of inspiration.”
Future artists in the series will be Kathye Edwina Arrington on April 8th: Alexandra Davis on April 22; and Cole Johnson on May 6th.
