The Cooperative Gallery 213 presents a solo show by Aubrey Clark titled Elements of Nature opening on April 4th from 6-8 pm. This exhibit, which will run through April 27th , illustrates the interdependence of all life with the elements of earth, water, fire and air which has been of ongoing concern, fascination, and inspiration to Clark. She works in various media including ink, monotype on solar plates, oil and pastels as well as other forms of printmaking.

In addition to the First Friday reception on April 5th from 6-9 pm, a  reception, open to the public, will be held at the gallery on Thursday April 4th from 6-8 pm.

Clark explains her work: “Human beings depend completely on the elements of Nature, yet we are capable of ignoring them at our peril. How often is our reliance part of our conscious awareness? Catastrophic weather has gotten plenty of attention. We have been slow to acknowledge the damage we cause by this lack of appreciation and respect. This exhibit has been a way for me to acknowledge and show gratitude for the beauty and strength of these powerful gifts.”

The Cooperative Gallery, a popular stop on the First Friday Art Walk, located at Artists Row –State of the Art, at 213 State Street in Binghamton, is open on First Friday 3- 9 pm and regularly Fridays from 3-6 and Saturdays from 12- 4 pm.
