It’s less than a month into the fall semester and Shelby, an African-American resident advisor in a northeastern college, has already spent hours beyond what she expected providing emotional support to her new students and an over-anxious mother or two. She wants to pursue her passion (journalism) and indulge in being a student for a bit…but a racist act perpetrated in her dorm ignites the campus, dividing her students and demanding action from Shelby. As pressure to address the controversy mounts from students, the new dean, and even her best friend, Shelby must decide if she will enter the fray or watch her community come apart at the seams. Sharp, funny, and searing, Baltimore is a timely drama with an unfiltered look inside racism on college campuses.

Following the 8 p.m. performances on March 1 and 9, join the cast, director and hosts from the Multicultural Resource Center, the Student Association and B.A.M.S. for discussion with audience members about the production and ways to be proactive during incidents of discrimination and microaggressions.
