This exhibition, running through April 27th, focuses on New York State during World War II, specifically military airplanes crashes that occurred in the state during that time. This exhibition will highlight a number of crashes and the individuals involved while exploring how New York residents reacted to these tragedies. During the war, the Army Air Force experienced such a high rate of accidents that it was forced to redesign its training program. Space will be available for individuals to record their World War II related memories and have them preserved at the museum.
