Greetings From Vestal, opening at the Vestal Museum on June 29th at 1 pm is an exhibition featuring vintage postcards from the Vestal Historical Society’s collection. Come get nostalgic as you read whimsical holiday postcards, read witty quips and poems, and gaze at the art and images of days long past. These postcards are a glimpse into the sentiments, glamour, and humor of the past. Drop us a postcard with your thoughts and comments about the exhibit and check out the postal boxes from Crane’s General Store that served Vestal residents in 1876 while you visit. The exhibition will run from June 29th through August 31st.
Tioga County Courier’s former Homegrown columnist, M.K. Thomas will be speaking from 1PM-2PM on the art of preserving oral traditions through print.
Kids craft from 2PM-3PM; decorate your own post card to send from the Vestal Museum to a friend or loved one!
The Vestal Museum is located at 328 Vestal Pkwy E, Vestal, NY 13850 next to the Vestal Public Library.
