Spring can be a time of snowmelt and April showers. With all that water around it’s a great time to photograph a subject with so many possibilities. Whether your scene is a colorful reflection in a quiet pond, the silky water of a slow-moving stream or the rush of a waterfall, this class guides you through some simple techniques that make beautiful images possible, from straightforward to abstract.   When do you use a tripod and when DON’T you? How can filters on your lens help? How can shutter speed transform a so-so scene into a breathtaking moment?  This 4-session class, designed for dSLR photographers, provides plenty of “how-to” information with online Zoom demonstrations and constructive reviews of your photos. One highlight of this class is the third session: a field trip where there will be plenty of flowing water. JW Johnston, whose water photographs have appeared in Outdoor Photographer and Black and White magazines, is your instructor.  www.jwjohnston.com

Sessions 1, 2 and 4 are online via Zoom. You will receive a Zoom invitation prior to class. You must have Zoom downloaded on your computer and have a webcam, audio (microphone) and internet to take this class. Session 3 on April 6 is a field session.
