Celebrate National Poetry Month and the 45th season of the Madrigal Choir of Binghamton with America Speaks: Readings and Musical Settings of American Poetry on Sunday, April 14th at 4:00 PM at St. Thomas Aquinas Church, 1 Aquinas Way, Binghamton. Artistic Director Bruce Borton has chosen to feature Randall Thompson’s Frostiana, a setting of seven poems by Robert Frost, along with settings of poems by Sara Teasdale and James Agee. Accompanying the choir are members of the Binghamton Community Orchestra and long-time MCOB accompanist Jean Henssler in her final MCOB performance. Special guests, members of S.T.A.R. (Southern Tier Actors Read), read works by a selection of American poets. After the concert, join us for anniversary cake and goodies to celebrate the first 45 years of the Madrigal Choir of Binghamton! Tickets are $20 at the door or in advance from https://madrigalchoir.com/. Free admission for children and students with ID.
