Laurie Kozakiewicz, a professor at the University of Albany, will speak about two New York legislators Rhoda Fox Graves and Janet Gordon. Both women hailed from the Southern Tier/Upstate NY and made important gains for women’s rights in the late 19th/early 20th centuries.
Laurie Kozakiewicz is a Lecturer in History at the University at Albany, State University of New York. Her research focuses on women politicians and political culture in 19th and 20th century America, with special attention New York State politics.
