POSITION TITLE: Facilities & Concession Manager
REPORTS TO: General Manager
EFFECTIVE DATE: July 2023
SALARY: $19-$20/hour depending on experience
TENURE/TIME BASE: Permanent/Full-Time (32-35 hours per week)
Facilities Responsibilities: • Works Schorr Family Firehouse Stage (SFFS) events and rentals as needed (This job includes many night/weekend hours). • Regularly plans for and completes changeovers for SFFS performances and rehearsals. • Assists Technical Director with tasks as needed. • Keeps track of decorating items for the SFFS. Decorates the SFFS seating area as directed. • Ensures proper maintenance of the facilities. • Assists in the management and supervision of all properties and facilities (24/7). This includes 67 Broad Street, 48 Willow Street, 36 Willow Street and all parking areas. • Regularly ensures that trash is removed, building exteriors are cleaned and grounds are weeded, and snow is removed. (24/7). • Ensures that bathrooms and common areas are regularly cleaned in all facilities. • Acts as the primary responder to building security systems (24/7). • Performs necessary building repairs and renovations. • Makes deliveries and pickups as needed; Chauffeurs as needed. • Maintains equipment and supply inventories and documents such at the SFFS. • Oversees and coordinates linen and mat cleaning at the SFFS. • Maintains vehicles; keeps logs; schedules regular maintenance. • Performs general errands as needed.
Concession Responsibilities: • Maintain health and safety practices for all Concession areas. • Purchase, stock and inventory all consumable and non-consumable concession items. • Maintain a purchasing budget and costs as directed by Management. • Perform administrative and reporting tasks in a timely manner. • Maintain food, beverage, and alcohol compliance standards. • Create and manage volunteer schedules. • Work with and update the Point of Sale system as needed. • Control cash handling and reporting of income and expenditures. • Maintain NYS ATAP Alcohol Server Training and follow suggested procedures. • Track ATAP training for volunteers serving alcohol. • Maintain and update concession signage as needed.
Qualifications: • Enthusiasm for the Goodwill Theatre Project (GWT) • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize, multi-task, and meet deadlines • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; leadership ability • The ability to negotiate, mediate and resolve problems • The ability to exercise good judgment in diverse situations • The ability to perform basic tasks with courtesy and tact, particularly when dealing with tenants and patrons; the ability to work well with other team members • Physical condition commensurate with the demands of the position • Knowledge of facilities and concession management • Possess a valid NYS Driver’s License • Experience with volunteers or subordinates
