As BAMirror writer Lory Martinez recently pointed out, Broome County residents would especially enjoy Hugh Grant’s The Rewrite, set at Binghamton University, if they watched it in a theater (as opposed to the current video-on-demand option). Part of the fun is the communal experience every time Grant and his fellow castmates make a comment about our community.
And now we have that opportunity. The rom-com opens this week at the Art Mission and Theatre, 61 Prospect Ave., Binghamton. Screenings are at 7:15 p.m. Friday, Saturday and Tuesday and 3 p.m. Sunday (Feb. 27-March 3). The Art also will be showing the live action and animated 2015 Academy Award-nominated short films and Julianne Moore’s Oscar-winning turn in Still Alice.
