The work of Kevin Jerome Everson (b. 1965, Mansfield, OH) encompasses photography, printmaking, sculpture, and film. Arguably one of today’s most prolific and influential film artists, Everson has been recognized with the Guggenheim Fellowship, the Alpert Award in Film/Video, the Heinz Award in Arts and Humanities, the American Academy in Rome Prize, and the American Academy in Berlin Prize. His artwork has been the subject of retrospectives and solo exhibitions at the Whitney Museum of American Art, Tate Modern, Centre Pompidou, among many others. Everson is a Professor of Art at the University of Virginia, Charlottesville.
