Jenny Chang, MBA
Executive Director

Jenny Chang is an arts leader and marketing strategist with nearly 15 years of experience in the field. Born in Buffalo, New York, Jenny has contributed to the arts communities of diverse cities including San Francisco, Los Angeles, Taipei, and Binghamton. Most recently, Jenny started The ARTing Project, an initiative focused on producing artist interview videos for emerging artists worldwide, while also conducting marketing analytics for national social good campaigns with the Ad Council.
Prior to these roles, Jenny served as the Gallery & Events Manager at the Broome County Arts Council, where she played a vital role in the establishing the Artisan Gallery. As part of the inaugural staff, she managed monthly exhibitions, led the launch of Shop Art, and initiated digital programs for online exhibitions. Before returning to the East Coast, Jenny oversaw marketing activities and gallery partnerships for LIULI, a global art brand.
Jenny holds an MBA from Binghamton University School of Management and a Master’s degree in Cultural & Literary Studies. She resides in Broome County with her husband and child.
Beth Shumaker

Beth has lived most of her life in Binghamton. After raising her family, she returned to the workforce in office administrative roles. Beth has done extensive work in non-profit organizations including Make A Wish and A Room to Heal. After losing her son Sean to cancer at the age of 21, Beth created the Sean Standing Strong Memorial Fund, a non-profit for young adults with cancer, to provide financial assistance for educational and recreational pursuits. The organization was able to award grants to seventeen people.
Zoha Khan

Zoha graduated from Binghamton University with a BS in Business Administration with a concentration in Marketing and a minor in Theatre. Previously, she worked as the marketing intern for the Broome County Arts Council alongside interning with the Binghamton University Department of Theatre. In her spare time, she enjoys taking photos, reading fantasy novels, and prepping for her next Dungeons and Dragons campaign.
Muren Lum

Muren Lum received her Master’s degrees in Cultural Anthropology from Binghamton University, and in Visual Arts Administration from NYU. During her time in NYC she interned at Christie’s, Open Society Foundation, Fou Gallery and Chambers Fine Art. Originally from Beijing, China, Muren now resides in Broome County with her husband, daughter and two Shibas. She enjoys metal casting, and making jewelry with rocks and textiles.
Constance Barnes

Connie Barnes has been living and working in the Southern Tier for more than 40 years. Currently a founding board member of VINES (Volunteers Improving Neighborhood Environments) and a long-time board member of the Broome County Public Library, she also served as a founding board member of Binghamton Imaginink, an arts and science-based organization featuring the DaVinci Festival. As Executive Director of the Edward L Rose Conservancy, PA, she helped create the long-running semi-annual art exhibition Images of Susquehanna County.
As co-owner and event coordinator for RiverRead Books, she hosted monthly art shows and opened the doors for many author readings, poetry gatherings and music events. She looks forward to working with BCAC in the creation of another great ‘Third Place’ in Broome County.
Ann Pellegrino

Under the studio name Spotgirl Design, Ann Pellegrino is a freelance art director, designer, illustrator, and lettering artist. She has also completed many projects as a muralist, including giving a new look to Blossom the Cow at the Discovery Center in 2021. Ann received a BFA in Communication Design from University of Buffalo and has been a Broome County resident since 2005. She is proud to be part of our vibrant Broome Arts community and especially enjoys connecting with and supporting other artists.
