Broome County Arts Council will lead a guided, free walking tour on Saturday, June 15, to eight public sculptures that trace a path through the history of downtown Binghamton! There will be three 45-minute tours offered at 11AM, 1PM, and 3PM. Interested participants should email the Arts Council at: information@broomearts.org or call BCAC at (607) 723-4620 to reserve a time.

Each tour will begin at Kennedy Park (across from the Bus Terminal) at the corner of Henry and Chenango Streets and continue to the Broome County Court House, Government Plaza, 20 Hawley Street, and finally to Confluence Park. Participants may exit at any point. The tour is wheelchair accessible except for the upper level of Government Plaza, as the buildings will be closed for the weekend. Let us know if you have any special considerations.

Learn about the artists and their works, hear stories about the community at the time each sculpture was erected. This public sculpture tour is the result of a research collaboration between the Broome County Arts Council, Binghamton University professor Kevin Hatch, and the BU Art History Department.
