About Joanne Corey

Joanne Corey is a poet and blogger living in Vestal. While she wrote poems as a child in rural New England, she only returned to writing in her fifties. She participates locally with the Binghamton Poetry Project, BCAC, Tioga Arts Council, and the Grapevine Poets. With the Boiler House Poets Collective, she has completed an (almost) annual residency at the Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art since 2015. Her first chapbook, Hearts, is available from Kelsay Books, Amazon, and the BCAC Artisan Gallery. She was honored to present a poem at the Heart of the Arts Awards dinner in 2016 and to read as part of the BCAC National Poetry Month series in 2021 (https://broomearts.org/education/the-gift-of-poets/). She invites you to visit her eclectic blog, Top of JC's Mind, at https://topofjcsmind.wordpress.com/.
